By participating in these challenges, members of the Behance community embark on a journey of continuous improvement, exploring new techniques and approaches to create remarkable digital products. With each challenge, Adobe motivates and empowers designers to expand their horizons, fostering a culture of creativity and innovation.
Day 01
Challenge: Create a Promotional Webpage for Your Favorite Movie!
Solution: For my favorite movie, Mad Max, I designed a promotional webpage that captures the essence of the film’s intensity and excitement. The main banner features a striking jumbo photo that seamlessly merges with the black background as users scroll down the page. This immersive design draws viewers into the gritty world of Mad Max from the moment they land on the site.
At the forefront of the webpage, users are presented with immediate access to the movie trailer and a brief synopsis. This allows them to get a taste of the action-packed adventure and intriguing storyline right away, enticing them to delve deeper into the world of Mad Max. With compelling visuals and easy access to essential information, the promotional webpage provides users with all the reasons they need to watch the movie.
Day 02
Challenge: Create a Personal Finance Experience that Rewards Users for Achieving Goals.
Solution: For this challenge, I devised a unique approach that integrates nature and finance to motivate users to accomplish their financial goals. Using the metaphor of a plant, the app visualizes users’ savings progress: each time they add money to their savings, a new leaf appears on their plant or their plant grows bigger.
This botanical representation serves as a tangible reminder of their financial growth and achievements, fostering a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment with every contribution to their savings. By rewarding users with visual cues inspired by nature, the app encourages consistent saving habits and empowers users to reach their financial goals with a sense of pride and fulfillment.
Day 03
Challenge: Create a Fictional Brand and Define a Custom Color Palette.
Solution: This challenge was an enjoyable journey as I embarked on creating a brand identity for a children’s clothing brand. Inspired by the whimsical world of childhood imagination and playfulness, I carefully curated a custom color palette that reflects the brand’s vibrant and youthful spirit.
In addition to defining the color palette, I crafted a playful logo featuring charming illustrations and whimsical typography. This logo captures the essence of the brand and invites children and parents alike into a world of fun and adventure.
Together, the custom color palette and logo form a cohesive brand identity that resonates with the target audience and sets the stage for a delightful and enchanting experience in children’s fashion.
Day 04
Challenge: Create a Smartwatch Experience for a Bicycling Navigation App with Sound Prompts.
Solution: For this challenge, I focused on designing a user-friendly smartwatch experience specifically for bicycling navigation. To enhance usability and safety, I opted for a basic color palette with high contrast, ensuring that important information stands out prominently on the small screen. This allows users to quickly glance at their smartwatch and access essential navigation details while keeping their focus on the road ahead, whether they’re cycling or riding an electric skateboard.
In addition to visual cues, I incorporated sound prompts into the prototype to provide users with auditory guidance as they navigate their route. These sound prompts serve as an intuitive wayfinding tool, alerting users to upcoming turns and directions without requiring them to constantly check their smartwatch screen.
By combining visual and auditory elements in the smartwatch experience, I aimed to create a seamless and immersive navigation solution that enhances safety and convenience for cyclists and electric skateboard riders alike. (Please turn on the audio to experience the sound prompts.)
Day 05
Challenge: Create a Random Name Generator and Prototype an Interactive Swipe Experience.
Solution: For this challenge, I developed a name generator app with a unique twist—it’s specifically designed to help users choose a name for their new pet. The app presents users with a series of random pet names, and they can swipe left or right to indicate whether they like or dislike each name. If both partners swipe right on the same name, the app notifies them of a match, suggesting that they’ve found the perfect name for their new furry friend.
This interactive swipe experience adds an element of fun and collaboration to the process of choosing a pet name, allowing users to easily browse through options and quickly identify names that resonate with them. Whether they’re searching for a name for a dog, cat, or any other pet, this app provides a seamless and enjoyable way to find the perfect moniker for their new addition to the family.
Day 06
Challenge: Design an Onboarding Experience for a Neighborhood Community App.
Solution: To create an engaging onboarding experience for the Community app, I focused on incorporating illustrations, colors, and animations to foster a sense of confidence and positivity among users. The onboarding process serves as users’ first interaction with the app, so it’s crucial to make a welcoming and user-friendly impression.
Using vibrant colors and friendly illustrations, the onboarding screens aim to evoke a sense of community and belonging, setting the tone for what users can expect from the app. Each step of the onboarding process is accompanied by subtle animations that guide users through the app’s features and functionalities in an intuitive and interactive manner.
By prioritizing user experience and visual appeal, the onboarding experience not only helps users familiarize themselves with the app but also instills a sense of excitement and anticipation for what lies ahead in their neighborhood community.
